Sector 05
Arts
Cultural assets held on a generational clock. Patient by construction, and the sharpest read we have on where a society is going.
How we take it
Direct holdings, foundation structures, and infrastructure of the trade.
The thesis
Why we hold this sector
Art is the earliest written record of a change in worldview. We hold this sector partly as a store of value and partly as a research instrument, and we are candid that the second reason is the stronger one.
Our positions run through collections, foundations, primary market support, and the infrastructure of the trade: storage, provenance, restoration, and the platforms that are finally making valuation legible.
We do not treat the arts as philanthropy dressed as a mandate. Held on a generational horizon, with real custody discipline, it prices.
Focus areas
What we actively look at
- Collection building and stewardship, held generationally
- Foundations, institutions, and long-term primary market support
- Provenance, storage, restoration, and custody infrastructure
- Valuation, insurance, and the data layer of the trade
The other sectors
Working on something in this sector?
We would rather hear the structural argument than see the projections. If the argument holds, the projections will follow.
